This song has been my cry of praise. I am so unworthy of God's love and yet he loves me still. I am overwhelmed by his Grace and humbled by his Glory. Don't watch the video, just listen to the words. May you be blessed.
A melody of thanks for You
An expression of wonder
At Your beauty and Your splendor
No other cry have I
Than to know You more and lift You high
Oh, God of infinite glory
Above all You are worthy
What can I bring to You
Simply a song of love
And boundless gratitude
My whole life for You
You've rescued me from death
Given me Your kingdom
And blessed me with Your love
Countless mercies from above
Had I riches, I would bring them
Had I kingdoms, I would lose them
Had I the world, too small a gift
Would it be for You
Two are better than one... For if one falls they will be lifted up by the other. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Why I haven't been blogging...

These last few weeks have been challenging. Who knew that a little person could bring me so fully to my knees. What a beautiful instrument of growth my children are in my life. I am so thankful for the privilege to love them on this earth. It is especially during the challenging times that I am overwhelmed by God's grace and so thankful that it is new every morning!

New Friends
Last night we had some friends over for games and fellowship. They have a little girl named Rebecca who is about 4 months older than Caleb. It was the first time Caleb has ever really had someone his age in "his" territory. It was interesting to watch the dynamics between them. At one point he ran around picking everything up that his little hands could hold, all the while muttering "mine, mine, mine." Today he has been asking for "more Becca." We are so glad she came to play!

Caleb's Prayer
After hearing that I was nervous to make a certain phone call...
Dear God,
Momma too!
Amen
He then gave me a big hug and kiss.
A moment to remember!

Happy Birthday Mom!
This weekend we celebrated my mom's birthday with Angel food cake and lots of Kleenex. No... it wasn't overly emotional or anything, after all she is only 24 this year. The boys were pretty sick, coughing and sneezing all over the place. I fear that my mom's present from them might end up being their sickness. Thanks for letting us celebrate you mom, germs and all!
We love you!

A Very Schill Christmas
After arriving home from our trip to Washington we were fortunate to get to spend some time with my family to celebrate my brother's birthday and Christmas.
Caleb made me smile as he used his own money to buy a gift for Uncle De De (Stephen) and Aunt Heather. He was very excited to watch them open the presents although I think a big part of him wanted to steal them back!

A Hiester Christmas...
Things have finally slowed down enough that I am able to post some pictures from our whirlwind Christmas. We were fortunate to have Brandon's mom fly us up to Seattle so that we would not have to drive... It was a good thing too since the weather was such that we wouldn't have been able to drive. So, with only a few delays and one mad dash to catch our connection home we survived our first airplane experience with the kids in tow. (thanks for the tips Jordan) The weather was less than ideal for driving as they were having a lot of snow, but our friend Josh pulled some strings and was able to rent us an SUV. It was a huge blessing as it allowed us a way to get around safely and it helped me to feel more comfortable in the snow! (Thank you Josh!!!!!) We enjoyed our time with Brandon's family and the boys enjoyed getting spoiled by all the family. Here are some pictures in no particular order.
